Guy Ritchie to direct Madonna, Couple set to make video

February 13, 2001
Guy Ritchie has announced that he and wife Madonna are planning to work together on her new video. The couple, who married last month in Scotland, are set to collaborate on the American pop star's next single.

He said: 'Creatively, we like the same sort of things, so it just makes sense to work together." However, Ritchie scotched rumours that his new wife will appear in his next film, the Mole, saying that the film, which is currently in pre-production, is an 'all male production". He didn't, however, rule out the possibility that he could direct Madonna in the future.

He said: "I'd like to work with the missus, but There's nothing in the pipeline at the moment". There are also signs that fatherhood and marriage have already had a mellowing effect on the director of gangster pictures Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch: he says that he would like to make a children's film. The 32-year-old said: 'as I get more and more involved in the child's world with Rocco I'm getting interested in making a film for children.',3301,1-2717-24,00.html
