PAVAROTTI WOULD LOVE TO SING DUET WITH MADONNA

From: Yahoo, By Paul Majendie

LONDON (Reuters) - Famed opera tenor Luciano Pavarotti said Wednesday he would love to sing a duet with 'Queen of Pop" Madonna.

"That is my dream," he said, clutching a heart-shaped box of chocolates to his ample frame at a St. Valentine's Day news conference in London.

At 65, Pavarotti is still far from contemplating retirement. But he did predict he would not sing for as long as his 88-year-old father, Fernando, who is still in fine voice.

And he was in contrite form too, admitting he had put on 25 pounds when he was meant to be on yet another diet.

Asked if he would like to sing with Madonna, he said: "It is my hope. Madonna has a very clear idea. She promised me to come if we could sing together 'Caro Mio Bene" (My Dear One)."

GUY RITCHIE TO DIRECT MADONNA, COUPLE SET TO MAKE VIDEO

Guy Ritchie has announced that he and wife Madonna are planning to work together on her new video. The couple, who married last month in Scotland, are set to collaborate on the American pop star's next single.

He said: 'Creatively, we like the same sort of things, so it just makes sense to work together." However, Ritchie scotched rumours that his new wife will appear in his next film, the Mole, saying that the film, which is currently in pre-production, is an 'all male production". He didn't, however, rule out the possibility that he could direct Madonna in the future.

He said: "I'd like to work with the missus, but There's nothing in the pipeline at the moment". There are also signs that fatherhood and marriage have already had a mellowing effect on the director of gangster pictures Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch: he says that he would like to make a children's film. The 32-year-old said: 'as I get more and more involved in the child's world with Rocco I'm getting interested in making a film for children.'

RITCHIE TO DIRECT A MADONNA VIDEO

Madonna's new husband Guy Ritchie has revealed that he intends to direct one of her videos and since the birth of their son wants to make a movie for children.

During an interview in Los Angeles with UK tabloid 'The Mirror', the film director talked openly about his marriage to the Queen of Pop and said that she may have another baby if she plays her cards right.

He spoke honestly about his wife saying: Madonna is quite normal, really she likes to do the same things everyone enjoys. "We don't watch telly. We listen to music and watch films, write a bit and read a lot."

"Marriage to Madonna is magnificent," Ritchie gushed. "We had a magnificent wedding, we're having a magnificent time and we couldn't be happier."

Ritchie cast doubt over the accuracy of the countless reports on the couple's wedding in the Highlands of Scotland. "We've been private about it, he said. All I'll say is that nearly everything I read about it was untrue. Everything that was written was all a load of cobblers."

Guy denied the recent tales that his wife will star in his next movie, as it's an all-male story but he did say: "Sure I'd like to work with the missus, but I don't have an active project in mind that we'll do."

He continued: "I'll shoot one of her videos first and see how that goes. Creatively, we like the same sort of things, so it just makes sense to work together."

"Having a child has a profound effect on you and I am much happier and more secure now than I have ever been. And as I get drawn more and more into a child's world with Rocco, I'll get more and more interested in making a child's movie.

But at the moment he's at the stage where he Can't tell the difference between me and dog, so it's not really worth thinking about yet."
