Madonna's first U.S. top ten single (No. 10) spent an incredible 30 weeks on the Hot 100 -- a feat matched by only one other single: "Take A Bow." The single's video was the first of many collaborations with Mary Lambert, and it earned Madonna a 1984 MTV Video Music Award nomination for best new artist in a video.
