For the first time in eight years since The Girlie Show, Madonna promises to take the stage live in a extensive international concert tour this summer.
Madonna's hit single don't Tell Me gets Gold Certified selling over 500,000 units worldwide.  As for Madonna's Music album, it remains in the #26 position in the Official UK Album charts.
According NME, Madonna's 17 year old classic 1980's Hit single Holiday is to appear on a new album by The Avalanches. Now, the classic celebration of life hit single will soon be sampled in an instrumental version on the album track Stay Another Season.
Remixers on Madonna*s newest single, What It Feels Like For A Girl, have enough star power to keep Southern California from rolling blackouts. Grammy nominated Richard Humpty Vision, the worlds most popular DJ Paul Oakenfold, Above and Beyond, Victor Calderone and Tracy Young have all put their spin on the new single.
Madonna and Guy are collaborating once again. First, it was their beautiful son, Rocco. Then there was that hilarious skit they did for British Awards. Currently and most controversial is their latest video for Madonna's What It Feels Like For A Girl. However, they are at it again. This time, it's not working on a future new video,....the two are to make a commercial for the BMW-one of the most high performance cars in the world.
For her new music video, Madonna explains that she is portraying a self-described nihilistic pissed-off chick, and goes on to say that "the video shows my character acting out a fantasy and doing things girls are not allowed to do. This is an angry song and I wanted a matching visual with an edgy dance mix."

"There's a lot of violence in the video," adds Liz The Validator Rosenberg. "It tells the story of a woman who has probably been abused. it's very strong. it's not the last video you'd want to see before going to sleep at night."

Warner Bros. Records reports that the RIAA has now certified Madonna's Music video: GOLD Short Form Video.
Madonna wins Best International Pop Album of the Year at the Hungarian Golden Giraffe Awards (the Hungarian equivalent of the U.S. Grammys).
Madonna garners two Porin 2001 Croatian Phonographic Awards nominations (the Croatian equivalent of the U.S. Grammys): Best International Pop/Rock Album for Music and Best International Music Video for Music.
The video for Madonna's next single WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL directed by her husband, acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie, will premiere simultaneously on MTV and VH1 [U.S. channels] on Tuesday evening, March 20th at 11:30 p.m.
